Cryptographic Digital Provenance

FOAB E-Traceability: Tamper-Evident Aquaculture Value Chain

Every fish harvest tells a story. The FOAB E-Traceability system transforms on-farm feeding, water quality monitoring, and hatchery genetics into cryptographically signed digital records that verify provenance for processors, retailers, and consumers.

The 4-Stage Cryptographic Value Chain

How production milestones are recorded, cryptographically linked, and permanently archived.

Stage 1

Hatchery & Genetics

Spawning dates, wild riverine broodstock genetic source, spawn batch ID, and licensed hatchery registration numbers are established.

Genesis Block Hash
Stage 2

Pond Stocking

Release count, nursery pond depth, lime conditioning pre-treatment, and initial fingerling weight recorded under member signature.

PrevHash + FingerlingCount
Stage 3

Feeding & Telemetry

Registered floating feed batch brands, probiotic schedule, dissolved oxygen logs, and periodic average body weight samplings.

PrevHash + DO_pH_Feed
Stage 4

Harvest & QR Seal

Final yield, transport vehicle dispatch, and tamper-evident QR code generation sealed with the association HMAC-SHA256 secret.

Security Architecture

Why Cryptographic Verification Matters

Unlike paper certifications that can be duplicated or forged, FOAB records are immutable. Each event hash mathematically incorporates the previous event hash, preventing retrofitting of production records.

HMAC-SHA256 Seal

QR codes encode a cryptographic signature verified dynamically by the FOAB verification server.

Privacy-Safe Public Summary

Public verifications show district, species, and hash-chain proof without exposing sensitive operator deeds or phone numbers.

Instant Revocation

If an operator misrepresents a batch, secretariat staff can revoke or rotate the QR key immediately in real-time.
